Monte Carlo is the city of glitz and over the top indulgence. I had to see it for at least a day trip and ended up finding my food paradise.

Life in mining towns was not easy. Many died untimely and violent deaths -
deaths from diseases, from hostile environments, from mining accidents, from crime, and even from broken hearts. Conditions were ripe for creating ghosts and many mining towns today claim hauntings. Central City, Colorado, also known as "the richest square mile on earth" was a thriving mining town during the gold rush area and to this day many of it's first residents and visitors still roam it's buildings, streets, and cemeteries.

When I was backpacking through Europe and staying in hostels, I met a 56-year-old woman who was traveling around the world. Eileen related to me the story of how she started her trip with three suitcases and a carry-on. The three suitcases were too much for her to maneuver in planes, trains, buses, airports and stations. Three weeks into her trip, she had purchased a small backpack and had discarded 80 percent of the stuff she started with.

Eyes That See - Beyond:
To capture the grandeur of Divine
With my puerile basic rhyme
A task I know I'll not achieve
